A wooden miniature sitar with D-section body, square-section neck and head, transverse wooden tuning pegs, zoomorphic bridge; to the body, a painted image of a robed male proffering a flower, to the neck a similar image of a female holding a flower to her nose, underside of the body with painted image of male and female subjects kneeling holding flowers. 730 grams, 45cm (17 3/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired in the 1990s. Fine condition.
