A sword with swept single-edged blade and scabbard; the blade with inlaid brass designs and calligraphic text to one face with date, gilt plaque to the shoulder, wooden grip with ear-shaped pommel and white metal strip; the scabbard leather-covered with brass frog; Bulgarian workmanship. 853 grams total, 71cm (28"). Property of a gentleman; acquired in the late 1960s-early 1970s. Fair condition.
