A large bronze Type 1 spearhead; the long ovate blade with curved shoulders and flat midrib, rounded point; square-section shank developing to a tapering tang, fastened by bending to a right-angle with knop to the end. See Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, Tübingen, 2006. 430 grams, 45cm (17 3/4"). Property of a North West London gallery; formerly in a 1980s collection. Fine condition, edges notched.
