20th century AD. A khanjar dagger with slightly curved corrugated two-edged blade with brass inlay at the shoulder, glass(?) hilt with writhen detailing, tulip flower crossguard, trefoil pommel. See Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, Tübingen, 2006. 360 grams, 43cm (17"). Property of a London gentleman; previously acquired on the UK art market in the 1990s. Very fine condition.
