A ceramic unglazed bell-shaped jar with narrow basal ring, broad mouth, lateral loop handles, painted frieze depicting a horseman advancing right preceded by a spearman with weapon raised attacking a charging boar with second spearman behind, scrolled tendrils and hatching in the field. 128 grams, 9cm (3 1/2"). From an important English collection; acquired in the 1990s. Fine condition, one handle absent.
