5th century AD. A tinned bronze square headed brooch with quadrangular headplate decorated with central double-roundel flanked by single roundels; deep carinated bow developing to a long lozengiform footplate decorated with two double-roundels flanked by single roundels and a row of three roundels across the finial; spring-lug and ferrous remains of an iron pin to the reverse.
