13th century AD. A pair of silver bracelets formed from two hollow rods twisted about each other with a separate thinner decorative wire, finials formed as looped spirals. See silver treasure from the village of Baniska, in the Rouse Regional Museum of History. 41.5 grams total, 68-70cm (2 3/4"). Property of a South London collector; previously acquired on the European art market 1970-1980. Five similar bracelets, five rings, two earrings and a necklace were discovered in the area of a medieval fortress near the village of Baniska, Bulgaria. Fine condition.
