A silver ring comprising a flat-section hoop with three raised elliptical panels, each with a low-relief image: nimbate robed figure with hands tucked inside the folds of the robe of St. Mary(?); nimbate robed figure with large processional cross of St. John(?); similar figure with beard and staff held across the body possibly of St. Christopher. 4.05 grams, 21mm overall, 19.80mm internal diameter (approximate size British T 1/2, USA 9 3/4, Europe 22.0, Japan 21) (3/4"). From the collection of an Essex gentleman; acquired on the UK art market in the 1990s. Fine condition.
