A large 'chessman' personal seal matrix with tapered hexagonal shaft with triple collar below trefoil suspension loop; the circular face later re-cut with a design depicting a city wall comprising three towers around a fortified gate with studded entrance; with armoured standing knight supporters to sides, each wearing a sword, with lis above and with incuse '+++ SIGILL:IOhANNIS DE MIChELDEVERE' for 'Seal of John of Micheldever' inscription.
