冲耳炉形制源出宋代瓷炉，宣德皇帝以其置于政务殿阁，盖因取其“敬天法相”之意也。因其线条优雅流畅，故而被后世广泛应用于宫廷、文房、祭祀等诸多场所。此炉唇口微外侈，束颈，峭拔冲天双耳立于沿上，浑圆腹，腹下圆收，底承三乳足。铜质精炼，为赤黄色，精细光亮，细腻密实，抚之如婴儿肌，持之坠手，神韵极佳，乃同类器中极精彩之作。底款“大明宣德年制”六字，铸后修刻，工整霸气，其铜金黄，亮润质密。参阅；1.《大明宣德炉总论》69页
