Franz Wieschebrink (1818-1884), Düsseldorfer Genremaler, war 1832-40 Schüler der
Düsseldorfer Akademie und debütierte 1839 auf der Berliner Akademie-Ausstellung. Mit feinfühliger Beobachtungsgabe und subtilem Humor schilderte er vornehmlich das ländliche Volks- und Familienleben sowie Kindermotive. Streit vor dem Vorratsschrank, aus dem offenbar etwas herausgefallen ist, während ein Junge hinterrücks den Hund füttert, Öl auf Holz, u. re. sign., Holzplatt mit drei Spannungsrissen und entsprechenden Retuschen ebenda, 34 x 27 cm, ger. 41 x 35 cm

Franz Wieschebrink (1818-1884), a genre painter from Dusseldorf, was a pupil of the
Dusseldorf Academy in 1832-40 and made his debut in 1839 at the Berlin Academy Exhibition. With sensitive observation and subtle humor, he described primarily rural folk and family life as well as children's motifs.
