TWO BOHEMIA GLASS HUQQA BASES FOR THE IRANIAN MARKET Bohemia, Czech Republic, late 19th - early 20th century Comprising a red, gold and polychrome-painted huqqa base, of typical bell-like shape with a flared base, a tapering neck and reinforced mouth, the body and neck faceted and ridged, the decoration consisting of gold-painted stylised vegetal festoons and a band of oval medallions filled with polychrome-painted floral bouquets, a carved stellar motif to the base, 29.5 cm high; and another pink, gold and polychrome-painted huqqa base, similar to the previous one, 28.6cm high.
