A PAIR OF OPALINE GLASS DECANTERS FOR THE OTTOMAN MARKET Possibly France or Germany, late 19th - 20th century Comprising two tall opaline glass decanters, of typical pyriform shape, resting on a plain flat circular foot, rising to a tapering neck with three concentric rings and a wide conical mouth, the stopper dome-shaped and topped by a tapering spike-shaped finial, the body and stopper decorated with applied gold-painted Western-inspired decorations with polylobed medallions, volutes, geometric and stylised vegetal motifs, 47cm x 16cm x 11cm.
