A Satsuma vase of square section, decorated in colours and gilt with four panels variously depicting Yamato Nadeshko, Daimyo and Samurai; the circular base signed Dai Nihon beneath a gilt mon of Lord Shimazu, Daimyo of Satsuma Province; 44 cm high, Meiji Period. Please note that there is some deterioration to this vase, including: wear and degradation to the gilding; and damage or wear resulting from the electrical fittings.
