罐直口，短颈，丰肩，瘦底，圈足。其通体以青花加红、黄、绿彩装饰，颈部绘一圈回纹。肩部绘缠枝花卉纹。罐身绘饰四只云龙及八宝纹饰。四只云龙张口瞪眼，指爪锋利，强劲有力。足处绘变形蕉叶纹一周，底青花双圈内楷书“大明嘉靖年制”双行六字款。五彩云龙纹罐色彩浓艳，画迹工整，是典型的官窑作品。主题纹饰以云龙为主，充满神秘的道教色彩，反映出当时以龙为尊的社会风气和高超的御窑制作工艺。
