本件大碗碗体厚实，碗呈菊瓣形。敞口，弧腹，圈足。通体施青灰色釉，釉层厚而润泽。碗内有若干开片。用花瓣作为碗的造型，起源于唐、五代时期，宋、金时期兴盛，延续到以后各朝。这一成型技法的使用，对实用器起到了很好的美化作用。如此体量，厚重大气，实在难得。
