Chinese Ming Dynasty blue and white brush pot. Porcelain potted brush pot is sturdily potted in cylindrical straight body, with flat base and wide opening. The exterior with shades cobalt-blue and white hand painting depicted two folk in the village field with rough boulders, various big tree and grass. The glaze stop slightly above the foot rim, revealed the pale-creme unglazed ground with spiral kiln process pattern and darker spots in the firing. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. The foot rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks.
