An unusually large, Chinese, Republic Period, famille rose, porcelain teapot , decorated with a family of six playing: cymbals, gongs, & drums against a plain white ground, with cultural artifacts and potted flowering branches surrounding, calligraphy marking the opposite side, the handle attachments & the knob on the lid each painted in iron-red, the spout covered with a thin wash of red. H:7 1/2 in. (19 cm) Diameter: 11 3/4in. (29.9 cm) Condition: With a few iron spots and one small impression in the body of the vessel, otherwise in very good condition.
