此瓶乃采用一块大和阗籽料圆雕而成，玉质致密润泽。瓶呈扁圆体，小盘口，弧束颈。瓶身两侧分别采用高浮雕、镂雕等技法饰凤、龙各一攀附其上，凤衔牡丹，灵巧优雅，金龙五爪握宝珠，龙身盘曲有力；所置覆盏式盖上亦以凤衔牡丹作钮。龙凤各部刻画细致入微，彰显匠师工艺之卓绝。龙凤为中华文化中喜闻乐见的传统装饰题材，此瓶所用玉料硕大，雕镂精工，寓龙凤呈祥之美意。诚陈设之佳器也。所配硬木底座亦与瓶身纹饰相配，采用多种手法雕刻凤凰与牡丹样式，与所托玉瓶相得益彰。参阅：Stanley Charles Nott，Chinese Jade Throughout the Ages（中国历代玉器）
