A ceramic figurine of a horse and rider, the horse standing, appearing alert with its ears pointing forward and mouth open, painted bridle and harness detailing in black, tan saddle on its back, on a rectangular base; the female rider wearing a tunic with red sleeves and green body, hair painted in black, her right hand raised to her waist to hold the reins, left one resting on her leg; hollow-formed. 5.2 kg total, 38cm (box: 44 x 38 x 15cm) (15"). Property of a North London gentleman; acquired on the UK art market before 2000.
