A bronze short-sword or dagger hilt comprising a crescent pommel with median rib and knops to the apex on each side, lobes to the lower ends, ribbed grip and flared guard; mounted on a custom-made stand. Cf. Khorasani, M.M. Arms and Armour from Iran. The Bronze Age to the End of the Qajar Period, Tübingen, 2006, item 40. 385 grams, 13cm including stand (5"). Property of a Guernsey collector; acquired in the UK in the early 1990s.
