Imaginative, bold and experimental, this artwork is a glamorous attempt at integrating seemingly polar elements. The artist gave life to this masterpiece in interesting circumstances – while visiting a village in Orissa, she stumbled upon folk artists who painted miniatures with intricate detailing. She decided to project the local artists as miniatures alongside Monroe, as a way of honouring their art form and shedding light on the striking contradiction of the subjects.
