A SILVER INLAID BRONZE CHARIOT FITTING, HAN
China, Early western Han Dynasty, 3rd century BC. Of tubular form, closed at one end, with a neatly inlaid archaic silver band depicting two phoenixes amid swirling clouds.
Provenance: Dutch private collection.
Condition: The bronze with a fine copper-red patina, extensive corrosion and minor losses to the silver inlay. Fine condition especially considering the age of this lot.
