耀州窑瓷器的烧造最早始于晋，至北宋鼎盛一时，刻划纹饰以刀锋犀利而著称，是宋代北方代表性的窑场之一。本件器物则为耀州窑刻花器典型代表，通体施以青釉，釉色莹润。盌内刻划缠枝花卉纹，花叶丰润，脉纹清晰，所饰花纹刀法线条刚劲有力，生动传神，盘口为卷口，十分特殊少见，规整典雅，为耀州窑器中之上乘之作。同类例子可见于各大重要博物馆，包括一件藏北京故宫博物院，见故宫博物院藏文物珍品全集《两宋瓷器（上）》，香港，1996年，图127号；一件为Fuller旧藏，1965年6月28日于伦敦佳士得拍卖，拍品297号，现藏纽约亚洲协会；一件藏瑞士鲍氏东方艺术馆，见《The Baur Collection，Geneva: Chinese Ceramics》，卷一，日内瓦，1968年，图版A25号。
