款识：“大明宣德年制”款桥耳三足乳炉，是宣德炉的经典炉型之—，因其耳如虹桥卧波而得名。此件铜炉桥耳适中，耳阔扁宽，口沿圆润，微撇素颈，炉身圆扁，乳足圆硕，合度优雅，炉平底滑，垂弧敞阔，内堂平整，皮壳红栗，厚泽细腻，铜制精良，沉重压手，扣之声传悠远。罕见的原装炉座，亦与炉身相互对映，是铜炉中不能错过的精品。据《宣德鼎彝图谱》的记录，桥耳炉是仿照南宋（—说元代）姜娘子所铸的桥耳大乳炉的款式铸制而成。在现存的宋元时期哥窑瓷器中，我们也能够见到这样造型的瓷炉。可以相信，桥耳炉和冲耳炉—样，是乳足炉的最早期炉型。
