款識：
乙亥（1935）夏日，偶見新羅〈百獸〉長卷，筆墨縱橫，洋洋大觀，耿耿於胸中久之。慎生道兄屬作便面，背擬其意，未審有少相似否？幸方家鑒之，南石溥伒畫併識。

上款：「慎生」即汪溶（1896-1972），字慎生，號滿川村人。安徽歙縣（现汪滿田）人。曾先後任教於京華美術專科學校、北京輔仁大學美術系、北京師範大學。
