A carved black limestone rectangular pendant with divided loop, obverse with seated figure and ornamental band, underside with profile robed figure, reverse with standing robed figure and ornamental band. 3.41 grams, 15mm (1/2"). Property of a Cambridgeshire lady; formerly in the Igor Karmiloff collection (1925-2016), UN economist and author of Flashbacks, Icons of Impermanence, Bloomington, 2009; acquired in the 1950s-early 1990s. Accompanied by a museum-quality impression.
