此壶为传统造型，造型来源于秦朝秤砣，秦始皇统一度量衡时所用之权为形，而名之曰“秦权壶”。一弯嘴自然胥出，嘴头齐整，干脆利索，出水顺畅，暗接耳形壶把纤秀飘逸，粗细适中，端握舒适。截盖让壶身更完整，桥形钮孔如秤砣的穿绳孔，精巧别致，壶身饱满，端庄大气。此壶表面以金彩装饰，此类装饰手法是清初以来为满足宫廷需求的时尚作法。清描金紫砂壶属于皇家御用品，当然也是紫砂壶中的精品。整件作品以金水为墨，以砂泥为纸，可谓画工流畅，远山近水，亭台楼阁无一不细致描绘，且经久岁月金水仍然能保持的如此的完好，实属不易。
