A Sèvres circular dish (compotier rond) date code for 1785, from theGuirlande de Barbeaux service, painted by Jacques Fontaine with a central pink roses encircled by cornflowers around a pink circlet and a berried leaf garland around a blue border, gilt dentil rim, blue interlaced Ls mark enclosing date letters HH, some wear, 20.7cm. The Guirlande de Barbeaux service was first ordered for Louis XVI in 1782, and deliveries were staggered up until 1790. Cf. Peters notes that a service in the same pattern was delivered on 30th December 1785 to Charles-Pierre Pécoul and items from this service are in the Bowes Collection at Barnard Castle.
