A large Sèvres circular dish or stand (plateau rond) c.1800, painted by Edmé-François Bouillat, the well with an en grisaille design of flowers and formal foliate motifs issuing from a central flowerhead, the border with flower sprays in purple camaieu on a pale green ground, flanked by bands of pink roses, blue script Sèvres mark, 30cm. This design is listed as number 254 and is probably part of a service purchased on 5th March 1801 by Madame le Febvre, which included a stand for a round basket.
