Two Sèvres cups and saucers (tasses etrusque et soucoupes) c.1794-99, one painted with berried leaf sprays and foliate scrolls between yellow panels and Classical vases within purple bands, the other painted by Hirel de Choisy with polychrome enamel scrolls and garlands around Revolutionary symbols on a bright yellow band enclosing a maroon ground with gilt dots, blue script Sèvres marks, RF monograms, some wear, the revolutionary symbols erased and replaced, 13.3cm.
