A copy of a report by Dr. Dietrich Fabian dated February 17, 1997 enclosed.
Above a rectangular base the oak corpus, veneered with walnut burl, edged with fine veins and framed in mahogany. On the top of the lid, the slightly protruding base and on the outer edges quarter round wooden strips. Recessed lock hole fitting with doors, finely engraved with acanthus and flower motifs. The door can be opened by pressing the small button on the underside of the base (possibly with a knob). Two-part mahogany inlay compartment. Feet, key plate, handle and veins silver or silver-plated. Hinges and lock made of brass. Iron screws. One key provided.
