Oval framing in gilded rectangular frame.

In further mountainous landscape the battle turmoil with numerous mounted soldiers. These partly in armour with helmet or with breastplate, underneath visible clothing and matching dark hat with red or blue plumes. In the foreground, some mounted soldiers wielding their swords are particularly prominent. Also striking is the white grey horse lying on the ground. At the left edge of the picture a narrow tree rises up, while on the right side of the picture the view goes into the distance with more fighting soldiers. The group of figures in the foreground is almost evenly distributed. Some red and blue garments and the light-coloured horses are particularly emphasised by the colour scheme. The landscape in the background under a partly turquoise high sky with white dense clouds. The left side of the picture with vertical retouching.
