Black-ground rectangular plate with two gold edge bands running around the edges. In the central central field the crowned Bavarian coat of arms and twice the monogram "ME", the initials of Maximilian I and his wife Elisabeth von Lothringen. The central field is surrounded by four large and eight smaller segmental fields of dark blue lapis lazuli. Between these fields, numerous flowers such as tulips, snowdrops and imperial crowns are shown with very fine inlaid work, using different and coloured marble and stone types such as lapis lazuli, jade, onyx and agate.
