Walnut, carved, inlaid with various stones. Over four lion paw feet the profiled base with box-shaped construction, the corner solutions with figurative carved decoration. The sides and the inverted hinged lid with pietra dura inlays on a black lava base with various types of stone such as lapis lazuli, giallo di Siena and green marble. All sides with mascaron or ornamental decoration, reviving the spirit of mannerism. The lid with central representation of the lily from the Florentine coat of arms, surrounded by abstract dolphin bodies. The inner walls can be moved behind the pietra dura panels. A key is provided.
