Black-ground square plate with profiled edge, wide ornamental border with cartouches. The central central field shows the coat of arms of the Duke of Osuma and those of Castile-Leon, surrounded by eight segmental fields decorated with weapons and military symbols. Very fine inlaid work using different and coloured marble and stone types such as lapis lazuli, jade, onyx and agate.

The motif on the top refers to a table of the Duke of Osuma from 1614, which is in the Prado Museum in Madrid. (1211411) (18)
