Each 19 x 15,7 cm.
Each monogrammed "H R" at lower right, at the back side on wood artist's name and dated 1850,
in gilded rectangular frame with rounded corners.

In front of a dark background of a stable a brown dog, tied to a small wooden cart loaded with vegetables. In front of him a higher ceramic bowl with water. With his mouth open and his brown eyes he looks to the side. The other painting shows a small spitz with almost white fur and erect brownish ears, sitting on straw with his mouth open and his eyes looking up, watching attentively a butterfly at the opening of his wooden doghouse. Fine painting by the animal painter otherwise famous for her cat depictions. (1221355) (18)
