In front of the grey wall of an interior two men at a table. One sitting on an upholstered armchair, with red cap and green apron, which probably identifies him as a host, holds in his left a chalkboard on which he writes with his right. Standing beside him is a man dressed in a carriage with a dark blue jacket and many silver buttons, including a reddish waistcoat and wearing a black hat with a white border on his head. He has laid his hand on an old wooden table with a beer mug with a tin lid on it. Full of interest he looks down at the slate table. Harmonious genre painting in reduced colouring. (12110539) (18)
