A substantial bronze ladle with segmented handle, bulbous bowl with pouring lip and ornamental band below the rim, finial of a sitting male with arms folded across the knees, trapezoid panel to the rear with suspension ring; mounted on a custom-made stand. 968 grams total, 46cm including stand (18"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly with the Mahboubian Gallery, London, UK; acquired before 1972.
