A bronze horse-bit with square-section shank and reverse-scrolled ends, matched outward facing openwork cheekpieces each formed as two opposed crouching ibexes on a baseline with a rampant mountain lion behind resting a rear paw on the extended leg of a winged double-headed demon with a claw around the lion's throat, loop above the end of each wing. 910 grams, 22.5cm (9"). From the private collection of a North West London lady; previously with a central London gallery; formerly acquired before 1990.
