A ceramic vessel representing a male figure, hands held together at chest; everted rim; decorated with black paint which continues around the circumference of the vessel, a band of fish around the rim and central body, with a cross-hatch design at the 'back'. 647 grams, 20.5cm (8"). Property of a Cambridgeshire gentleman; previously in the private collection of Dr. K. A. Joysey of Cambridge University; accompanied by an old dealer's ticket including provenance and description (£695.00).
