An Islamic mortar Cast and chased bronze with remnants of red pigment. Cylindrical form with broad flaring upper and lower rims. Decorated with two engraved bands of moulding and calligraphic inscriptions alternating with filled lotus bud motifs. The interior with extensive, the exterior with some sinter. H 14.5, D 20.5 cm.
