Y A Chinese export silver tea pot, a single and double chopmarks (SHANG 尚,BAI JI 白記), 1930s, spherical with a bamboo twig finial and similar loop handle with ivory spacers, the body with four shaped panels embossed with differing foliage, 24.5cm (9 1/2in) long, 477g (15.35 oz) gross Although this makers mark is unrecorded, there was a Shang, artisan silversmith, recorded in Tianjin. There is no record of a Bai Ji.
