A Swiss ebonised key wound musical box, Nicole Freres, circa 1870, the brass-bed framed mechanism stamped by the maker and numbered 35248 to the corners and playing a choice of twelve airs via a 12 inch pinned cylinder on a tuned steel comb, the comb stamped for the maker, the left hand end with hinged flap revealing winding square and operation levers, opposing key storage slot to right hand end, the case with handwritten tune sheet pinned to the internal surface of the lid and with corresponding serial number to lower lozenge, 17cm high, 52cm wide, 23cm deep Provenance: The estate of Christopher and Rosemary Warren
