A George IV mahogany and goncalo alves bureau bookcase, circa 1825, the profusely carved pediment incorporating scroll and acanthus motifs, above a pair of panelled doors opening to adjustable shelves, the fall front secretaire section opening to a leather inset writing surface and an arrangement of pigeon holes and a long divided drawer, the pair of panel cupboard doors opening to three sliding trays, flanked on either side by scrolling acanthus carved terminals, on tapering foliate carved feet, 240cm high, 123.5cm wide, 62.5cm deep
