此尊造像表现了一位格鲁派上师的庄严容貌。上师头戴格鲁派专有的黄色尖帽，面庞圆润饱满，眉目平直，双唇紧抿，给人以“视如真人”的观感。上身躯体壮硕，内着僧坎，外披袒右肩袈裟，腹部圆鼓，极富写实效果。左手结禅定印，右手结说法印，左右两侧肩饰应为金刚铃（已失）和金刚杵，为上师的标志法器。下身着质地优良的僧裙，双腿盘坐于团花锦垫之上。整尊造像平直的眉眼雕刻、端庄的五官排布都带有清代内地造像的独有特点，应是受到汉地传统文化的影响。其严谨的度量和规整的造型，也与清代内地造像作品如出一辙，是一尊艺术风格十分鲜明的内地造像佳作。
