A group of three ceramic panels, two discoid and one trapezoidal, with inset bronze mirrored plates; one circular with running chevrons to the rim and the other with raised roundels; all pierced for suspension. 295 grams total, 95-145mm (3 3/4 - 5 3/4"). Property of a Mayfair lady; formerly in an important London collection formed since 1965. These mirrors were supposed to hang up in the house to ward off evil spirits and deflect bad luck.
