1st-3rd century AD. A millefiori glass bead, possibly part of a necklace originating from the Eastern Imperial Provinces. 0.76 grams, 10mm (1/2"). Property of a London lady; from her family collection formed in the 1970s. The millefiori technique involves the production of glass rods with multicolored patterns, made by heating the pieces in a furnace, pulled and then cut into beads or discs when cooled. [No Reserve]
