A Victorian sterling silver tea caddy, London 1898 by George Fox In the George III manner, of oval form, the hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable carved ivory pineapple finial. The front with a laurel wreath cartouche engraved with a crest of a fleur-de-lis, around it a serpent entwined, otherwise edge with scrolling borders. Fully marked to side, the lid and finials section part-marked. Length – 9 cm / 3.5 inches Weight – 168 grams / 5.4 ozt The crest is for Birch, by descent
