Muhammad bin Sulayman al-Jazuli (d. 1465 AD): Dala’il al-khayrat, North Africa, perhaps Algeria, 18th century, 128ff., Arabic manuscript on paper, 9ll. of black Maghrebi script arranged within a red rule roundel per page, some words in red, headers in floral gold and polychrome, numerous gold and polychrome decorated fold outs, a double page with large illuminated roundels, polychrome illustrations of the interiors of the Holy Tombs and the minbar of the Prophet in Medina, opening bifolio with gold, red and blue decoration and text contained with an oval cartouche, in red morocco binding with gilt tooled points, folio 7.1 x 7.5cm.
